our customers. These levels of assistance range from simple to an integrated "turnkey" order-taking and fulfillment
service.
Inventory Managment
Sound and secure inventory management is critical to any fulfillment operation. TASCO
maintains tight inventory control procedures for its clients' material through the use of
a number of monitoring devices and processes available to all clients. These include minimum
balance reports, low balance counts, flash counts, automated stock
reconciliations,
physical inventories and test counts upon initial receipt. All bulk material is stored
in pallet rack and kept physically together by client.
Order Taking/Customer Care

At the heart of any customer care service is positive, professional and responsive
communication. TASCO has the necessary resources and staff to insure that buyers have a
pleasant and easy ordering experience. Additionally, our integration of systems and call
answering expertise gives your buyers the impression they're ordering directly from you.
TASCO also coordinates order taking with your
marketing program. Upselling and cross selling services work in combination with other
order-enhancing features. For example, TASCO can "auto-include" brochures that
focus on similar publications to those a buyer orders. This means more marketing focus can
be placed on buyers who have a history of purchasing similar items ... and it takes place
automatically during order entry.
Taking orders and inquiries in coordination with our
clients' Web stores is a vital component to the services we offer. TASCO can customize the
level of service it provides in support of your web presence so information can be quickly
transferred and processed.
Order Transmission
Many clients prefer to take and enter orders they've received by phone, fax, Webstore, or
other means, but want to outsource the physical fulfillment side of distribution. For
these types of clients, TASCO accomplishes the receipt of transmitted orders through the
Internet or "PC to PC" dial-up connection. For either of these options, TASCO
will accept and process multiple batches on a given day and automatically confirm the
receipt of transmitted order files to the sender.
Pick/Pack
One of the most important elements of any fulfillment operation is the picking process.
Orders that are rapidly filled and carefully wrapped are key components to buyer
satisfaction. At TASCO, we focus on the pick/pack operation by first utilizing top people
who are familiar with your materials. When this strength is blended with our expertise in
packing slip design, our modern conveying systems, the use of quality checks and the other
controls we have in place, the service you and your buyers receive will always be at the
highest level.
TASCO uses biodegradable
materials in the preparation of orders for shipment.
Shipping
Each year, TASCO ships hundreds of thousands of orders to destinations all over the
world. Because of the high volume, we negotiate with parcel carriers to obtain much lower
shipping rates for our clients than they would receive outside the TASCO umbrella. Just as
importantly, TASCO is able to customize its menu of shipping options to provide our
clients an array of methods to meet their needs for speed, tracking, security, and low
cost.
To help our clients understand and manage their own
shipping activity, TASCO generates periodic and yearly shipping analysis reports
segregated by world zone, carrier, and carrier service. These documents, which can be
conveyed in paper or electronic format, help our clients to reconcile shipping fee usage,
determine shipping/handling fees for use in a catalog or web store and
make general
policy decisions about shipping .
For tracking and delivery information, TASCO
maintains a long term database of every parcel shipped from our facilities. Through
internet links with major carriers, we learn and store the delivery data automatically so
the information is available immediately when needed.
TASCO also provides no charge consultation to its
clients to help them develop their strategies for which shipping methods to use,
departmental cost allocations, and ways to handle other management issues related to
shipping.
Returns Processing
Attention to detail is essential when processing returns. The inspection of items for
resaleability or obsolescence, quick and accurate processing of credits and the prompt
return of stock to inventory are key ingredients to buyer satisfaction. At TASCO, we open
and inspect all returns the day they are received.
Accounts Receivables Management
TASCO's comprehensive accounts receivable management program provides you with a powerful
combination of invoice generation, payment processing, receivable reports and "past
due" management tools. As a result, your receivables will be monitored in a way that
gives you the necessary control to increase cash flow efficiency, decrease outstanding
debts and reduce bad debt write-offs while controlling the associated costs.
Courier Service
It's important to have management information as quickly as possible.
For clients located in Washington, D.C. and its outlying areas, TASCO provides free
courier delivery for management reports and other documents in addition to the pickup of
orders and other important material. TASCO also provides for the delivery
and pickup of
stock on a regular basis.
